At Imago Dei Studio, our Catholic faith informs everything we do. Our name comes from our faith - we believe every person is made in the image and likeness of God. As a result, we aim to capture that inherent dignity in every image that we produce.
While we may use AI tools to clean up backgrounds and fine-tune colors in our editing process, we will never artificially generate a human being in our work. You are irreplaceable, and we want to portray the truth, beauty, and goodness of God's creation just as He made it.
FAMILY
As Pope Benedict XVI wrote, "God is the Trinity, he is a communion of love; so is the family despite all the differences that exist between the Mystery of God and his human creature, an expression that reflects the unfathomable Mystery of God as Love." Each of us are sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, husbands and wives, fathers and mothers who are bound to each other. Our identity is shaped through these relationships: we are made for one another and we reflect the image of God in the love we give to each other.

While the world offers self-centered pleasure and comfort and packages it as "fun," we believe real fun is the joy that is found in truly living your vocation as a child of God. Our Lord taught us in the Gospel of John: "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full!"

ABOUT US
Ana Luz Castro Ferrel and Curtis White met each other on CatholicMatch in April 2022 during the COVID pandemic. Ana was a cradle Catholic, originally from Lima, Peru, who had moved to Florida with her mother to pursue the American dream. A professional photographer in her homeland, she hoped to continue sharing her talents through a career in the United States.
Curtis was a recent Catholic convert who was discerning his vocation. He spent his youth as a television commercial producer who frequented the Wilmington film festival circuit, but had taken the path of St. Augustine, getting lost in the worldliness that so often distracts and destroys young men today. Through the grace of God, he was walking in the light of Christ, seeking to do God's will.
Ana & Curtis both shared a love for photography and St. John Paul II's Theology of the Body, and after months of courtship, Curtis drove to Florida and brought Ana back to his home state of North Carolina to get married in the Catholic Church on June 29, 2023. A year later, their daughter Tracy Luz was born. They have a second child on the way.
